It’s official! The votes are in and our final pick for June’s Book Club read is The Unwilding by Marina Kemp!
We’ll travel to Sicily, Italy and follow famous novelist Don Travers, 26-year-old writer Zoe, and the family’s youngest daughter, Nemony, as they uncover family secrets spanning past and present.
We received over 30 suggestions and votes this month, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the conversations that have been taking place on Fable, and in the comments. Summer at Sunset Acre author P. Kettleburn recommended her romance novel, and it quickly became the most-voted title on Instagram, bringing more comments than the account is used to.
WordPress and everyone that was led to In Between the Lines leaned towards our winner, a dual-timeline literary novel set in (of course) summer. We will be travelling between 1999 Sicility, Italy and London, 20 Years Later in our Online Book Club!
And then Fable spoke.
Although this month’s poll wasn’t as popular as hoped, we are now 21 members! I look forward to discussing our first summer read together, and to host other reading events to enjoy reading together this season.
