Reading in June – Day 20

By

Day 20

I’m a third of the way through this series, and I still haven’t learnt to make enough time for reading to make a dent into my book. Well, except last weekend where I read 155 pages. But, in 20 days, I expected more.

I do like what I’m noticing by documenting the results of hectic days led by people ready to have everything ready for summer. When I expected to feel incentivized by readers holding me accountable, I actually embraced transparency with this community when I wasn’t proud of what I had to say. The acceptance of inevitable circumstances, paired with my will to find time when I wouldn’t have in the past, make this series something I didn’t expect. Something bigger. I still want to prove that I can make reading a priority before I truly have time for it.

It’s now past 11 pm and I chose to wind down by posting July’s book club poll. We’re having a later dinner here now in a few minutes, and I will eventually open up The Unwilding. I will add that to tomorrow’s update. I have more on my to-do list for tomorrow than I have all month, so I’m definitely hoping to using tonight as before my habit snowballs and I can’t fix it anymore.
