Choose July’s Book Club Pick!

By

I’ll have to interrupt today’s usual programming because it’s time to pick July’s book!

We’re only halfway through June, which is admittedly a little early. But as some of us get closer to the end of the month, and as I work through the final two weeks before I’m fully in control of my time again, I find myself looking ahead.

In just 11 days, I’ll be closing a chapter that I couldn’t have grown without. There was never any question about that. What kept me moving forward was understanding the purpose behind every step of the process. Now that I’ve grown, my old environment, job, and commitments no longer align with my passions. It’s time to start living out the thoughts and dreams that kept me afloat during the moments when I wanted to drag my feet.

To begin inhabiting the mental space I’ve been saving for life after this transition, I’m already planning July: train routes, caravan pit stops, turquoise-water coves, and, of course, the books I’m going to read. That’s exactly what I need. And honestly, who doesn’t?

I’ve spent the last 12 months saving up, turning down events, and focusing on getting everything ready to make sure that I get a summer that looks like the life I want. And to feel like I truly deserve it.

To make choosing July’s perfect summer read a little easier, I’d love to hear your suggestions. Share any beach read you’ve been eyeing or keeping on your TBR. I’ll also include the books that didn’t make the cut last month, both for inspiration and as options you can vote for again.

Last month’s suggestions

Once enough suggestions have come in, I’ll post the official poll for In Between the Lines.

See you later this evening for today’s Reading in June update, and over on Fable as we continue reading The Unwilding!

PS. Robert Macfarlane liked this post on Instagram! This month has been filled with milestones, and I can’t wait to see where the growth keeps going.

Join us on Fable, and read along this summer.

That’s where my vote is going this time as well. I can’t think of a better book to take on a long train journey: up north, back down through Central Europe, and then all the way across to the south-eastern coast of Spain.

Thank you!💙 The Midnight Train seems to be the favourite so far! I would be just as excited to read Swan Song though. I think.
