Dear readers,

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful year and closed off 2025 in the best way possible. I’m sure many of us checked Goodreads and its 2026 reading challenge as soon as New Year’s Day began. It was the first thing I checked, and I couldn’t be happier with the color! If you check the main colors used for this blog and social media accounts, you would think I had designed it simply for this post. I, of course, took that as a sign.

This year, I’ve set 50 books as my goal, and I can’t wait to make space for everything I love moving forward. Reading and writing are at the top of the list. If you’ve been meaning to read more and would like a space to discuss your thoughts, people who motivate each other to prioritize reading, and connect with readers alike, join us on Fable! As always, the goal is to move towards online calls over coffee, wine, or a cup of tea as we dissect the book of the month and catch up on life as it blurs into the background on a winter evening.

January´s Book:

This month’s book, and the first choice of 2026, is The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion. It was the most-voted book in the poll, on Instagram, and within the Book Club chat. It all starts today, and we’ll find a set time that works for all members in order to meet on Thursdays, just as the heavy workload is left behind and the weekend approaches.
